The popular dance Margapati was composed and choreographed by the late I Nyoman Kaler (1964) en depicts the character of a lion, the king of the forest. Severe, frightening, and full of self confidence he rules the forest. The accompanying gamelan music is rhythmic and dynamical, according to the dance movements.
